    Hello,

I have two files in a movie folder - a.mkv and a.srt . The files are streamed to Panasonic Viera GT30e. The movie is playing, but the subtitles are not working. I tried to run minidlna in debug mode, but the only thing I found about subtitles is  this line:

    <Filter>dc:title,dc:date,res,res@protocolInfo,res@size,res@duration,res@resolution,res@dlna:ifoFileURI,res@pv:subtitleFileType,res@pv:subtitleFileUri,upnp:albumArtURI,upnp:album,upnp:artist</Filter>

Probably the subs are not streamed at all ? Have I missed some setting in the config file ?

    Any help is appreciated.
    Regards

Do the subtitles work if you copy the files to a usb key?
Try to rename both the files, make them equal, and shorter,
    name.avi
    name.srt

Well, you already said that you are using short file names…
When using problematic subtitles, I usually activate the subtitles on another movie, and then the subtitles that previously failed start to work.
