Does MiniDLNA support playlists (pls or m3u) that point to Internet radio streams?

I have the following playlist (pls) which points to a free/legal stream from Digitally Imported:

[playlist]
NumberOfEntries=1
File1=http://u12b.di.fm:80/di_deephouse
Title1=Digitally Imported - Deep House
Length1=-1
Version=2

The debug log shows the following:

playlist.c:149: debug: Scanning playlist "Digitally Imported" [/mnt/storage/Music/Digitally Imported/Digitally Imported.pls]
playlist.c:193: debug: 1: checking database for http://u12b.di.fm:80/di_deephouse
playlist.c:236: debug: - http://u12b.di.fm:80/di_deephouse not found in db
playlist.c:236: debug: - /u12b.di.fm:80/di_deephouse not found in db
playlist.c:236: debug: - u12b.di.fm:80/di_deephouse not found in db
playlist.c:236: debug: - di_deephouse not found in db
playlist.c:258: warn: Finished parsing playlists.

The stream works on my renderer (Android smartphone) when used with MediaTomb. At the moment I'm running both MiniDLNA and MediaTomb but this one issue is preventing me from switching completely over to MiniDLNA.
