I was holding off until I could get my build environment back up to make the static build, but I haven't had a chance to do that yet. I'll try to get that done soon. For now, I just pushed the last two minor commits, and an annotated tag.

I've compiled 1.1.6 version for wd book live with lg_searchlim.patch minidlna-1.1.4-git.non_destructive_update_rescan.patch and added subtitles to generic DLNA1.50 profile (kodi and others) so far so good

I second this.
Most people assume that 1.1.5 is the latest version, and many repositories are not updated beacuse the tarball is missing, and their users are missing out on the new features.

There is a minidlna v1.1.6 in the ReadyNAS OS package, but where are this changes in this repo?
Link? Source? Maybe it's just v1.1.5 with recent git commits?

If 1.1.6 has been really released, it is possible to upload a source tarball ?
I second this.

It really is released in git. Let your disto's package maintainer know and have them create one for your distro. Otherwise, patience is a virtue.
