    Hi all,

    on my NSLU2 with Unslung beta 6.10 I installed the MiniDLNA package (cvs20090413-1)
    to have a DLNA-server for my Sony Bravia KDL-40W5500 LCD-TV.

    My /opt/etc/minidlna.conf looks like this:

    port=8200
    media_dir=V,/share/flash/data/hdd/mpeg2
    media_dir=A,/share/flash/data/hdd1/MP3s
    media_dir=P,/share/flash/data/hdd1/DigiCam
    friendly_name=NSLU2 DLNA Server
    album_art_names=Cover.jpg/cover.jpg/AlbumArtSmall.jpg/albumartsmall.jpg/AlbumArt.jpg
    /albumart.jpg/Album.jpg/album.jpg/Folder.jpg/folder.jpg/Thumb.jpg/thumb.jpg
    inotify=no
    enable_tivo=no
    presentation_url="http://192.168.178.31:8888/index.php"
    system_uptime=no
    notify_interval=900
    serial=12345678
    model_number=1

    When starting minidlna, I get the error messages (obviously one for each media_dir):
    No MAC addresses found!
    Media directory not accessible! [(null)]
    Media directory not accessible! [(null)]
    Media directory not accessible! [(null)]

    The DLNA-server is found correctly on my TV, but no media content is browseable at all.

    Does anybody have any ideas what could cause minidlna under Unslung (kernel 2.4.22)
    not being able to access the media dirs?

    I'm starting minidlna from a root shell, the directories in question belong to user
    "martin" and group "everyone". I already changed the permissions to 777. Same
    errors as before...

    I also tried media_dir=/ or media_dir=/unslung, it also gives me the same errors...

    Many thanks for your help in advance!

    Regards,
    Martin

      Are you still having this problem?  Are any symbolic links involved in those paths?

      Yes, the problem persists. No links are involved. As I wrote before, I've already tried / as media_dir...

      I compiled the program from source to be able to try some things:

      It seems that the realpath statement in minidlna.c gives me the errors:
      path = realpath(myval ? myval:ary_options[i].value, NULL);

      If I try
      path = myval ? myval:ary_options[i].value;
      instead, I do not get the errors anymore, but still no media content is available...

      Maybe it has something to do with kernel 2.4.22 on NSLU2 Unslung. But I'm so far away from being a linux expert!

      In the near future, I will upgrade my NSLU2 to Debian Lenny. Let's see if minidlna works there...

      Regards,
      Martin

      Update:

      MiniDLNA works like a charm on Debian Lenny on my NSLU2 (except from autostarting the demon on boot..., see the other thread:)

      Thank you for this great piece of software!

      Regards,
      Martin
