Sorry, but I don't know how to reopen ID: 3413709. I read that discussion thread and indeed I see "minissdp.c:348: debug: Sending SSDP notifies", but there's a problem with the explanation of SSDP packets being blocked. I also happen to be using MediaTomb which also uses SSDP. But unlike minidlna it does not go away when audio or video is terminated. So why is MediaTomb not bothered by blocked SSDP packets? This seems to suggest that either SSDP is not the issue or minidlna has some other problem.

    It seems a recent reset of my router knocked out port forwarding of port 1900. I re-enabled that and problem seems to be solved. I'm baffled why MediaTomb remained operational, but since I'm planning to use minidlna exclusively I won't worry about it.
