Following a long period of inactivity, MiniBits is now starting to move forward again, using the C# language.
The original VB code was becoming too bloated with over 100 forms and 40 modules. By moving to C# it is aimed to drastically reduce the number of forms while at the same time rapidly increasing functionality.
This will be based around a small number of forms implementing simple operations such as the addition, removal, alteration and display of data records. Advanced operations such as adding transactions will be performed by derived forms.... read more
The project has been inactive for the last few months, which is a pity considering the amount of work that has gone into it to date. <p>
Now that I have a lot more time I'm looking at getting things going again. It will take me a few weeks to kick-start things, but watch this space!!!
A download for the database referenced by MiniBits is now available. This release is primarily intended for developers, but anyone interested is welcome to download this file. Anyone interested in using MiniBits, either for themselves or in a business situation, is encouraged to join the minibits-users mailing list. This will allow us, the project team, to communicate developments and news to you, and allow you to communicate your views to us.
MiniBits source code has now been uploaded to the CVS repository, and is available for viewing.
