Updated: gcc-3.4.5-20060117-3

Another updated release of GCC 3.4.5 is available. As with the previous 3.4.5 Vista releases, the only substantial change from the original 3.4.5-20060117-1 release is Windows Vista compatibility. The binaries included should run on any version of Windows previously supported (typically beginning with Windows 95) up through Windows Vista.

This release fixes bugs seen in the previous two Vista-fixed GCC 3.4.5 releases:
* Searching for paths on drive D: (gcc-3.4.5-20060117-1-vista)
* Unable to find subprograms (errors like CreateProcess: No such file or directory) (gcc-3.4.5-20060117-2)
This release should be functionally identical to 3.4.5-20060117-1 and 3.4.5-20060117-2 for anyone who is not running Windows Vista. For Vista users, it should be functionally identical to 3.4.5-20060117-1 under previous versions of Windows (i.e. no Vista-specific bugs should remain).

The new release is versioned "gcc-3.4.5-20060117-3", in the GCC Version 3 package on the SF download page. Binary and source tarballs for six language packages are available (C, C++, Ada, F77, Java and Objective-C). For further details, see the file "gcc-3.4.5-v3-release_notes.txt".

If you encounter bugs of any sort while using this release, you should first search the mingw-users mailing list archives to see whether the issue has already been dealt with. If the problem is in fact unique to this release (for example, a packaging bug or an unforeseen consequence of changes in the build process), please post full details -- the bug's symptoms and steps to reproduce it -- to the mingw-users mailing list.
