Can't understand what's going on: while trying to compile part of Mysql
from windows source package keep getting the same results - no output
object file. Can anyone explain this behavior? The example command line
output is in the attachment.

This looks like a compile error because it doesn't say "warning":
> ../include/config-win.h:104: redefinition of `sigset_t'
> C:/msys109/mingw/include/sys/types.h:110: `sigset_t' previously declared
You can temporarily disable warnings by replacing -Wall with -w to be
certain. By the way, when you use a makefile or check the return value of
"gcc" then can also see whether there was a compilation error.
Also, note this:
> #include <...> search starts here:
Unless you are sure that it is necessary, you should not specify the MinGW
include directory on the command line (-I"C:/msys109/mingw/include") because
it is automatically used, and the search order is best left alone.
