I have released version 0.0.1 of the Mingw32 Alternate C Runtime Library. It
is not complete yet. It needs more development to replace MSVCRT.DLL. I
would like the functions required to compile the versions of GCC and
Binutils found in Mingw32 implemented. The goal is to start tweaking the
Mingw32 Alternate C Runtime Library today so that the entire Mingw32
toolchain (including gcc, binutils, and libstdc++) can be compiled with it.
Please submit the patches going to http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingwacr,
clicking on Patches, and clicking on Submit New. Hint: Most C Runtime
Library functions are implemented using one or more of these means: the
Win32 API, x86 assembly functions, and/or articles found at
http://msdn.microsoft.com. In addition to getting the whole Mingw32
toolchain to compile, please ensure that the other goals found at
http://mingwacr.sourceforge.net/impldeta.htm are fulfilled. Please ensure
that implemented functions fully comply with the ANSI/ISO (including C99)
implementation guidelines if they are required by any of the the ANSI/ISO
standards, including ISO C99.
