We have a windows box where bash/make blocks on startup for about 3 minutes.
I have traced it down to to internal_getlogin where there is call made to NetUserGetInfo().

When the first calls fail here , the second call to logon server is blocked for about 3 minutes as the system is not connected to VPN and hence the logon server is unreachable.
Is there a workaround here?
Also, let me know how to build msys-1.0.dll?

Shorten the timeout in your windows environment.
