I also had a display problem with the installer I was attempting to build
(which had most recent inetc at the time), in order to pursue the crash
resolution (but that one hasn't crashed yet.) inetc plugin maintainer is
aware of the problem (others have reported it), but he has not yet been able
to reproduce it to fix it. (I suggested he check out the mingw installer
source and try that.)
It appears that the code responsible for the 5.1.3 installer crash is no
longer a part of the current inetc - at least not in any form I recognize.
I guess you'll just have to wait for a version that doesn't have the display
