sorry.. really quite off topic...
for those who use notepad a lot but am often frustrated with
its limitations, you might find metapad a good replacement.
reason i post this here is because i'm sure i'm not the only one
who writes codes half the time with notepad, and that many
others are often plagued with the same frustrations i have and
seek a notepad replacement.
after countless switching of IDEs (as they became obsolete
or when new ones came, or even when you change to another
OS), i finally resorted to only *very basic*, small and fast (fast to
use and to load) editors.
"techie" features (those that allows one to tweak things that
only techies would usually look out for) are a major plus.
personal favourites were vi and notepad. (notepad is really
limited.. but it's on every windows machine u can find
though). now my favourites are vi and metapad. :)
hope what i'm sharing here would be useful. :)
ps: for those who don't already know this, having
"Open With Notepad" under explorer context menu is a
very useful thing. :)
