When I try to compile the file:
---------- begin test.cpp ------------
---------- end test.cpp -----------
invoking "g++ -c -gcoff test.cpp" I get
C:\Temp/ccamaaaa.s: Assembler messages:
C:\Temp/ccamaaaa.s:78: Fatal error: C_EFCN symbol out of scope
It would compile without the -gcoff flag, but I need the COFF-debug infos.
I've used the current packages gcc-3_1-core-20020516-1 and
Can anyone tell me how I get this compiled including the debug-infos?

While compiling a C++ library with "-gcoff" I got this error:
f:/temp/cc2naaaa.s: Assembler messages:
f:/temp/cc2naaaa.s:7440: Fatal error: C_EFCN symbol out of scope
What does this mean (some internal assembler error?). I couldn't find a
reference to C_EFCN in any files (I also made as .S-file). Only found some
obscure old messages at Google which didn't make much sense to me...
BTW The library in question is PType 1.7.5 from
gcc 3.2 (mingw special 20020817-1)
Compiling with "-gstabs" works okay though.
