I attempted configure GDB 5.1.1 on my Windows 2000/MingGW1.1/MSYS1.0.6 but it failed with the following error message: Configuring gdb... <several lines omitted> checking compiler warning flags... -Wimplicit -Wreturn-type -Wcomment -Wtrigraphs -Wformat -Wparentheses -Wpointer-arith -Wuninitialized checking for cygwin... no checking for tgetent in -lncurses... (cached) no checking for tgetent in -lHcurses... no checking for tgetent in -ltermlib... no checking for tgetent in -ltermcap... (cached) no checking for tgetent in -lcurses... (cached) no checking for tgetent in -lterminfo... no configure: error: Could not find a term library Configure in /c/gnu/gdb-i386/gdb failed, exiting. The only GDB port for MinGW I found on the MinGW website is version 4.18, and I would want to try to compile GDB 5.1.1 for MinGW first before I resort to Cgywin. Is there a work around to this "missing term library" problem? Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks, Jeanine Kwong |
