I want to add a .CHM compiled HTML help file to a Windows application. =
I have MS HTML Help Workshop which includes:
1) header file htmlhelp.h for the HTML Help API (function to load the =
help from my program)
2) MS import library htmlhelp.lib to link against
3) Active X control for help hhctrl.ocx in \System32
What do I do? (Besides using the now-free MS command line compiler, =
Do I need a nonexistent libhtmlhelp.a? How would I get or make one?
Is the loader versatile enough to link against hhctrl.ocx directly =
without an import library? (I know it will link against DLLs directly.)
As a novice, I'd appreciate explicit, words-of-one-syllable directions. =
Is this something under consideration for future releases of MinGW? I =
made a quick archive search and got no results.
General question: how are the Windows import libraries generated for =
MinGW? Processing the MS import library? Processing the DLL?
