Bugs item #1189085, was opened at 2005-04-24 20:00 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=102435&aid=1189085&group_id=2435 Category: MinGW Group: Feature requests Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: jrnd (jrnd548001) Assigned to: Earnie Boyd (earnie) Summary: new version with gcc-4.0.0 AND jessie-1.0.0 is necessary! Initial Comment: Currently, the latest version of mingw distribution (3.2.0-rc3) only includes support for the already outdated gcc 3.4.2. However, a new version of mingw should be due because: - gcc-4.0.0 is already out since 20abr2005 (http://www.gnu.org/software/gcc/gcc-4.0/), with more complete support for GCJ, C, C++ etc. - current mingw version doesn't allow the use of HTTPS in java URLs. Jessie 1.0.0 (or later) should also be included. - libiconv is not statically linked in gcj, requiring the use of an extra iconv.dll to be deployed with any .exe compiled from java files, even if gcj -static is used. Are there any plans to deploy any similar mingw version in the near future?? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=102435&aid=1189085&group_id=2435 |
