I've compiled msys-1.0.dll successfully, and I've noticed a couple of things: 1. It's a lot bigger than the one included with the 1.0.9 release (my build is 5.5 MB). 2. The default term is now cygwin. Is there something I missed yet again? Thanx! Chris |

It's set for rxvt with it's switches. > Is there something I missed yet again? > No, I don't think so. For the production build I do: ccflags="-O3 -g -fnative-struct -mcpu=pentiumpro" make CFLAGS="$ccflags" CXXFLAGS="$ccflags" make install prefix=`pwd`/nstl cd nstl/bin objdump -Sl msys-1.0.dll > ${MyReleaseDir}/msys-1.0.9.odmp strip * To test create a copy for production: cd /c/msys cp -a 1.0 tst Copy and paste the desktop icon Modify the copy to point to c:\msys\tst. To keep me straight on which terminal is which version I have this in my ~/.profile file: <file name="~/.profile"> #Determine windows path cd /bin/.. W=`pwd -W` cd - #Determine identifying version info V=`echo -n \`uname -r | cut -d \( -f 1\`-\`uname -v | sed -e 's/ /@/'\`` #Reset bash prompt export PS1='\[\033]0;$MSYSTEM-$V($W):\w\007 \033[30m\]\u@\h \[\033[35m\w\033[0m\] $ ' </file> I also change the colors in msys\tst\msys.bat to make it even more noticible.
