Suggest replacing it with cvs from www.cvsnt.org which works fine from DOS and msys. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: johnc (john-c) Date: 2005-02-21 09:27 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1221988 No, I did not set CVS_RSH=ssh. I am using WinCVS and CVSNT and the CVSROOT is defined there. I renamed msys cvs to cvs_old, and in msys shell I receive the following error: $ cvs_old.exe status . cvs_old.exe status: unknown method in CVSroot: :ssh;key='H:/.ssh/id_rsa.ppk':johnc@cvsserver:/cvsroot cvs_old.exe [status aborted]: Bad CVSROOT. Using cvs from cvsnt.org works fine. I assume its simply my misunderstanding how to get msys cvs to use ssh. For the moment, I will use the cvsnt.org version. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Earnie Boyd (earnie) Date: 2005-02-18 22:24 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=15438 Did you set CVS_RSH=ssh? I use CVS with SSH daily.
