"Produce debugging information for use by GDB@. This means to use the most expressive format available (DWARF 2, stabs, or the native format if neither of those are supported), including GDB extensions if at all possible." I'll upload a newer snapshot of binutils as soon as the binutils sources stabilize a bit -- there are a few regressions occurring currently. Danny ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Danny Smith (dannysmith) Date: 2004-07-22 22:37 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=11494 -ggdb (Generate debug information in default extended format) seems to be generating Dwarf2 debug info. Although gcc now supports Dwarf2 debug output for mingw but you need an updated assembler to complete the support. -g still defaults to stabs, so changing to -g (or gstabs+ for extended output) should fix the problem. It should be possibe to fix gcc so that -ggdb still defaults to -gstabs+ for windows.
