I came across this when compiling an fltk application, I did not #include <winnt.h> myself, the two line piece of code aimed at reproducing the issue in as simple a fashion as possible. I checked and fltk does correctly include <windows.h> Compiling <windows.h> in a similar fashion gives errors as well: #define VOID void #define <windows.h> I compiled on cygwin.
