I'm trying to remove the cognitive dissonance of the two different path schemes, and constantly having to have that mapping in my head. If I put a file in /tmp, for instance, I'd like to be able to "C-x C-f /tmp", not "C-x C-f C:\Documents and Settings\wjanssen\Local Settings\Temp", for instance. So I'd like to be able to configure Emacs, if it's started from an msys shell, to use msys paths. That's the problem I'm trying to solve. Bill |
