Yep, that's neat! One thing: how do you handle dependencies? I couldn't see that just the core package would be installed, for instance, and some packages don't show up at all in the install dialog (I assume they're silently installed, are they? like win32 API, or gcc-core, for instance) But other than that, I find it quite neat (and yep, that's what I had expected when I surfed onto the download page - a big fat link to this installer). Oh, and one more thing about categories ('previous', 'current', 'candiate'): I'd make it more obvious to the new user what that is. Or maybe even hide it in an advanced dialog, or at least explaining that new users should use 'current'. Something like that.
