When ever I compile my program with mingw(gcc 3.2, Dev-C++) and use iostreams
my image file weighs in at a hefty 400k. This is obviously not normal for a
trivial output program.

Yes I have debugging info off. I even use the -O3 and -s flags for the linker.
I just want to know why my images are SO bloated?
