well, it's probably not the line length (seems to be 898 characters). CMD's max line length is 2048 characters.  I don't know what the internal limit is on gcc.

Subject: [Mingw-users] gcc error during linking step in Windows 7

I'm trying to compile Pidgin under Windows 7 using the latest cygwin
and mingw runtime and I'm getting the following error:

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
gcc.exe: Internal error: Aborted (program collect2)
Please submit a full bug report.
See http://www.mingw.org/bugs.shtml> for instructions.

Should I go ahead and file a bug or is this a known thing?  I did a
bug search, but couldn't seem to find anything exactly like it.

This is with gcc 3.4.5, ld 2.20 and this is the last command that
caused the error:

gcc.exe -shared account.o accountopt.o blist.o buddyicon.o certificate.o cipher.
o circbuffer.o cmds.o connection.o conversation.o core.o debug.o dnsquery.o dnss

Thanks for any help you can provide.
