Hello all,

I've talked a while ago about "reformatting" the wiki. Here are my thoughts on this :

HomePage :
- MinGWiki Page: keep
- Getting Started: keep
- The IdeaBoard is barely used. We should remove it.
- MinGWCautions: move to FAQ
- DebuggingTips: move to FAQ
- SourceExamples: move down to under FAQ
- WhatIsIt: change title/subtitle to "Packages Guide : an explanation of all individual packages". Inside it; remove dead links and add all packages which already have a description (ie : http://www.mingw.org/MinGWiki/index.php/binutils)
- WhereIsIt: redundant with above, so remove. Inside, "MinGW resources" and "the next resource" should be moved to FAQ.
- HowDoI: Move some articles to the FAQ (use threads with MINGW, build VB dll with MINGW, etc...) And only keep full length tutorials on x-compiling, installation, compiling, ...
- Why: rename to FAQ; reformat page inside as Question/link to answer.
- Unanswered Questions: move to FAQ, remove stub links so links appeared as unanswered.
- Forums: new link to http://sourceforge.net/forum/?group_id=2435

Other possible changes :
- Remove all WikiWikiWords when possible to prefer links with nice titles. On the wiki home; that would mean "GettingStarted" would be changed to "[Getting started|GettingStarted]
- Try to format everything the same. Packages as http://www.mingw.org/MinGWiki/index.php/bash; building packages as http://www.mingw.org/MinGWiki/index.php/Build%20bash

That would leave the home page with a minimum of direct links to pages that are better formated and more direct.

Comments welcome,
Julien
