Hello

I'ld like to suggest adding to /etc/profile a line that automatically makes configure use the file /etc/config.site

Currently, config.site is only used if user specifies --prefix=/usr or --prefix=/
(config.site is checked by default in $PREFIX/etc/)

By adding some line such as :
"export CONFIG_SITE=/etc/config.site"
the file will always be considered.

I also think that adding
"lt_cv_sys_max_cmd_len=${lt_cv_sys_max_cmd_len=262144}"
in the config.site file could be a good addition as checking the maximum command line is quite time taking.

PS: On all the systems I tested, I always get max_cmd_len = 262 144
