I want to be able to select host/build flags when compiling and have it behave as expected. how do I configure my msys environment to do this?
also, if I would like to bulid the new version from source for this purpose, what steps are necessary, is the raw source enough by itself?
was following this guide:
cc1 and ccpplus executables could not start properly after compiling resulting in a make error.
Please elaborate "could not start properly after compiling". It is hard to guess what the problem is.
I got some weird windows message about that it couldnt start the process, there really isn't any more information about it,
the error did NOT occur when I compiled the release instead of the trunk, so it might be a bug in the svn trunk version
on the last step (fully compiling GCC) I have the following error:
In file included from C:/MinGW/msys/1.0/home/Michael/MINGW_BUILD_DIR/gcc-4.7.1/libstdc++-v3/include/precompiled/stdtr1c++.h:42:0:
C:/MinGW/msys/1.0/home/Michael/MINGW_BUILD_DIR/gcc/x86_64-w64-mingw32/libstdc++-v3/include/tr1/cstdio:42:14: error: 'std::__mingw_snprintf' has not been declared
C:/MinGW/msys/1.0/home/Michael/MINGW_BUILD_DIR/gcc/x86_64-w64-mingw32/libstdc++-v3/include/tr1/cstdio:43:14: error: 'std::__mingw_vsnprintf' has not been declared
when I try to compile static I reaches the "not declared" errors, and when I try to compile dynamic I get the error # referred to in the FAQ section about wrong architecture or whatever.
Restarted, tried again, different error, new ticket.
