I downloaded the latest snapshot of MinGW (mingw-w64-v1.0-snapshot-20100818.tar.bz2). I found a resource on line that said I should be able to compile hello world (http://mstenberg.com/blog/2010/06/13/gcc-for-windows/). However, it requires a gcc.exe file. I assumed when I uncompressed the archive there would be a gcc.exe file of some sort in the archive, but there are no exe files that I can find.
Exactly how do I compile a program? Is something missing?
