Mimosa is back to life. And to do so, the last version has been moved to the git repository.
The expectation is to go further towards more expressive knowledge representation, a DSL for institution-based multi-agent systems including norms specifications and a more sophisticated agent-architecture. So...see you soon.
Mainly portuguese language support thanks to Paulo Pimenta. Otherwise, major advances are made to the plugins, in particular the one for advanced data structures (structure plugin) and its consequences in the various plugins. It is probably the last step before a major change.
Still many bug fixes including the "die" function which was buggy. Otherwise, the main change is the introduction of scripted cellular automata to be able to easily design MAS environments. The documentation is not updated yet.
The version addresses numerous bug fixes and improvements. The functionalities did not change much, therefore the documentation has not been updated. We still would like to put the plugins out of the main distribution but it should come with the next distribution. Stay tuned on the CVS version for further evolution before an expected major release.
After a long time developping large scale models with mimosa, we finally release a bug fix version improving many details and stability. Enough for not being beta any longer.
It is mainly a bug fix release but with a lot of improvements in the project editor, the scripting languages (now with smalltalk) and the capacity to develop plugins. The spanish language has been added.
Finally Mimosa 1.3.0 has been released. It is still beta because much remains do be done. The new features are the project editor for putting together the related conceptual, concrete and simulation models and load them at once, the separate specification of the initialization of the model and the spanish language. Additionaly, a number of bug fixes everywhere thanks to the development of full size models including GIS and SBGD access. Do not hesitate to contact the project administrator for further details...and the updated user's manual.
A new version with the smalltalk scripting language added, improved performance and reshaped package structure has been released. Previous models may not load...just ask me for help.
Many improvements in this release including a number of command line options (e.g. for batch mode simulation), new observers for plots of various kinds, javadoc is better, more robust in general.
Mimosa is a modeling and simulation platform, covering the process from building conceptual models to running the simulations. The specification use ontologies and an extensible set of formalisms for the dynamics. The simulation kernel is based on DEVS.
This release corrects a number of bugs, improves the DEVS-bus efficiency, provides a clearer protocol for the scheduler. Finally, mimosa specific file extensions are provided. Please read the updated user manual for further details. The javadoc has been updated and improved (even if far from complete).
This new release contains all the updates made in CVS repository, including visualization specification and the various bug fixes.
The example folder contains further examples, especially various versions of StupidModel.
Following a course on Mimosa, a number of improvements have been made in terms of stability, vocabulary and additional features.
This release of Mimosa includes a huge number of improvements. The kernel algorithm has been rewritten with a much cleaner semantics. A number of bugs was fixed. Syntax coloring has been added to
the script editors. Finally a number of handy debugging tools are available from a menu.
Mimosa is undergoing dramatic changes. A stable although not yet complete version has been released for use by the interested people around the development team. The documentation is not yet updated.
The first stand-alone version of Mimosa (1.0beta) has been released in the download section. It also contains some documentation (user's manual, partial programmer's manual and the javadoc) and examples.
