I'm using Mime Util 2.1.3.

I'm having problems detecting EPS files that have a header of  "C5D0D3C6".
That seems to be a valid header, according to,
http://www.fileformat.info/format/eps/egff.htm#EPSF-DMYID.2

What's the best way for me to get eps files with this header to work in the
Mime Detector.

1.  Is there existing API to register a new mime type with the library?
2.  Should I change the magic-mime file?
