Milkdrop's 3-D glasses mode was one of the coolest things ever... 10 years ago.
But now I own a 3-D TV. Anaglyph 3-D glasses are awful by comparison.
I'd love to see Milkdrop establish native 3-D support, by having a split screen (HSBS / half side-by-side or HOU / half over-under - preferably both, since one is better than the other in different situations.)
Because some of the newest 3DTVs have limited depth (about 3 feet of depth for my 65-inch), some sort of depth control would be needed. The anaglyph 3-D mode now already has that feature.
This would be hard, as you'd have to maintain 2 canvases and such. There'd either need to be separate settings for the 3-D mode, or you'd probably have to halve the existing settings. Or maybe use 1 canvas, but 2 different viewpoints for each half. Not sure how you'd implement it.
It would result with the coolest music visualization I've ever seen in my life. Right now, there are few professional concert visualization setups that I've seen in person that have beat Milkdrop. If Milkdrop did this, it would regain title as coolest thing ever :)
