I am attempting to compile an article using Elsiever's elsarticle.cls (based
on LaTeX article.cls) which uses tx font.
On compiling the article I get the following message:
"The required file
is missing. It is a part of the following package:
The package will be installed from:
Installing from this prompt doesn't work and so I then try and install the
package with the MiKTeX Package Manager and get the following message:
"The remote package repository is not online. You have to choose another
I then tried to download a "ly1" folder found by a google search and moved
this folder to the folder "fonts\tfm\adobe\". However, the "ly1" folder did
not have the "psry.tfm" file which I then had to do a separate google search
to download to the ly1 folder. I restarted the computer and attempted to
compile the article again. This again had no effect and I was presented with
the first prompt shown above.
Please could I ask if anyone knows a solution to this problem?
Many thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

psyr is no longer in the ly1 package but in "symbol". Open the
package manager and synchronize your repository (menu
"repositoriy"). If you have a multi user installation: do it in
admin mode and in user mode for every user.
Then install (at best in admin mode if you have a multiuser
installation) the package symbol.
