New question, so a new post to keep things workable.
I haven't yet jumped on the high-speed connection bandwagon, so it would
be useful to able to save some hassle if I should have to reinstall
somewhere down the road.
I downloaded the small package, so I have all those cab files socked
away in one directory. I'm noticing that all the other downloaded cab
files are ending up in /texmf/source/ (or subs under that). Once I have
everything down and in place that I want, could I just sock that
directory away on a cd someplace and upgrade from it if I had to
reinstall things later?? Would certainly save on the downloading time if
that could work. Thoughts?
