This could be just a shot in the dark, but try downloading the latest Visual C++ 9 Runtime from the Microsoft website (search in http://download.microsoft.com). Remember to install *both* the x86 and x64 versions as you're running Vista x64 (although for MiKTeX it's only the x86 runtime that you actually need). David |
