No. The main point of -Ppdf is to set the resolution to a high value
(this affects also the placement of rules) so deleting D 8000 in
config pdf doesn't make much sense.  It has more or less the same
effect as not using -Ppdf at all.

In short: Use -Ppdf only if all fonts are available in type1.
