Hello, gervacios(Gervacio,Severino V) a =E9crit : >I installed MiKTeX 2.5 and it is working fine. I have one litle problem = though. I have created a drawing package of my own which I have been usin= g well with MiKTeX 2.4 but I could not use it with MiKTeX 2.5. In MiKTeX = 2.4, I simply copy my package to the folder texmf\tex\generic\misc and th= en refresh the filename database and everything is ok. I tried to do a si= milar thing with MiKTeX 2.5 but it does not work. Running latex on a docu= ment using my package gives the error: package mypackage.sty not found. A= ny help would be greatly appreciated. > =20 > From the mikTeX prview document: =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D 3.2 Installation directory The new installation default is C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.5. 3.3 Local TEXMF directory The semantics of the local TEXMF directory have changed: this directory=20 will not be used anymore by MiKTEX to store auto-generated files. As for MiKTEX, the local TEXMF directory is=20 now an ordinary TEXMF directory. 3.4 Data directory Auto-generated files (e.g. format files) will now be stored in the=20 MiKTEX data directory. The default location of this directory depends on the kind of the MiKTEX installation: Per-user installation C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application=20 Data\MiKTeX\2.5 Per-computer installation C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MiKTeX\2.5 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D So I suppose you have to put your package either in the localtexmf or=20 the data directory and refresh. But most probably you have to check if the folders *are known* by miktex = refresh (to know, under previous miktex you were going to mikTeX options/Roots,=20 where you could add new folders if necessary; I don't know if it is the same for 2.5) It is not advisable to put things in texmf because this could be changed = when you update!
