Hello, I try also to mesure with the same acrobat tool and it give me that it = is 11.96 pt. You can change to 12pt (on the acrobat properties tab) and you = see the change. I remember that it has 2 conventions 1in=3D72pt and = 1in=3D72.27pt I try this conversion, but it does not always work with an example where I change the font size with commands like this =20 \fontfamily{cmdh}\selectfont \fontseries{ub}\fontshape{it}\fontsize{24}{24pt}\selectfont the size (indicated by acrobat properties) is some more then 24pt=20 The jpg file is a screen capture of the acrobat properties panel on the pdflatex Hans example. Same result if I convert dvi-->pdf or dvi-->ps = and ps-->pdf Best regards Pierre -----Message d'origine----- De=A0: mik...@li... [mailto:mik...@li...] De la part de Hans F. It works for now but I still wonder what went wrong since > I'd like to trust Latex in using the parameters I entered. LaTeX only does what you (or your packages) tells it to. Using \documentclass[a4paper,12pt,parskip+,bigheadings,pointlessnumbers]{scrart= cl} \begin{document} Hello, World! \end{document} I get font cmr12 (at 12pt). So you are definitely using a font package = which also messes up your font size - cm-super? (try with lmodern in stead or = at least without cm-super to confirm that the problem is connected to cm-super.) Providing a minimal example always helps (but maybe not needed if I = guessed correctly above).
