I suggest that you install  winedt    www.winedt.com and www.winedt.org  This editor has all what you need to compile latex files and create pdf outputs using miktex.

Best regards

I suggest Gvim plus vim-LaTeX-Suite, it is a text editor as good as winedt  and it's free. Also Gvim is available for linux, windows, etc.

Objet : [MiKTeX] help

Hi there!

I used to use latex for UNIX and now I have no access to UNIX machines so I have to use MixTex. I installed the small version of the software on my machine but haven't got a clue how to start! Can someone please help. I can view my original DVI file with no problem and that's all i can do with it.

I have some latex files so i need to compile them and create DVI and eps files. I might need to do some change on my latex files (*.tex).

Can somone please help as I have a deadline to send some papers?

I really appreciate it!

Mant thanks,
