How to determine max_print_line

    Is there any way to programatically determine the present value of

    max_print_line
    

    in MiKTeX, i.e., the

    max_print_line
    

    that's in force during a compile, or, if not that value, the environmentally
    defined value? For comparison, I can achieve this via

    \input"|kpsewhich -var-value=max_print_line"
    

    in TeX Live, but am unable to take this approach on a MiKTeX platform since
    MiKTeX's

    kpsewhich
    

    offers a highly reduced set of the usual

    kpsewhich
    

    command line options.
