pdftex, pdf file poor on screen

  • Nobody/Anonymous

    I just tried for the first time to get a pdf document from my latex source (with pdftex as part of MikTex2.3).

    The output looks good in print but very poor on the screen. How can I get pdf output suitable for the screen?

      Upgrade to Adobe Reader 6.0.

      wish I could help, but I'm trying to get the file.tex to output .pdf still. It will do it, but it shows hardly any of the content. Oh well, I'll keep tryin'

      Use T1 postscript fonts : \usepackage{times}

      Try typing in the command prompt:

      dvipdfm -ecz 9 filename.dvi

      the -ecz 9 it the compression amount...

      Hope this helps.
