How do you change the kernel configuration parms that
get built in? Specifically the cpu type and enabling
the math coproc emulation so it will work on 486sx
systems. Also what devices are supported etc...
As near as I can tell from attempting a build, the kernel
defaults are all set by altering the 'defconfig' values of
the kernel source with various of the patch files: this
does not permit dynamic shifting of the settings of the
kernel, but does allow somewhat easier .config file
creation in order to compile the kernel.
Try making a new patch file and kernel bundle that includes
your variants by altering the defconfig settings: you'll
also need to update the CONFIG file appropriately, to add
the new patch.
