It would be cool to see Midori Linux on smaller devices
like PDA and/or cellular Phones.
Can Midori size be reduced and more wireless
protocols added (GSM/GPRS/WAP)
to do this?

For real PDA implimentations you would have very low
    memory / storage / cpu power (think 1Mb - 4Mb storage, 33
    Mhz cpu, etc).

So then a full glibc/xfree86 might be a little bit
overkill, projects to impliment linux for such devices are
under way though (check out the iPaq linux project), they
might be better suited, till the average PDA has some more
    muscle (should be soon :P)

I thoroughly agree that a Midori PDA would be stupendous.
The iPaq uses a version of Linux but Midori written by
Linus himself has got to be a lot better. I've read that
Transmeta has plans to do a PDA. Can someone give me an
estimate of when it might be released? Summer? December?

    At http://www.mcommercetimes.com/Technology/97 I learned
about SDR. Midori Linux and Transmeta are PERFECTLY
positioned to best exploit this promising adaptability
protocol. Flashable microcode is the IDEAL solution for
multiple concurrent wireless standards around the world.

one can see how perfectly a Transmeta approach could be so
wonderful. Is there currently such a project underway? If
so, what is the estimated time to market? I may need to
get an iPAQ and upgrade to a Transmeta/Midori
PDA/smartphone later if it is more than A 6-9 month
horizon. Please let me know. - Bill
