Hello, I want to try and use MICROSATELIGHT on my data. In order to learn how to use the software, I'm trying to do the example with the provided test data. The first step runs smoothly, and I'm able to create the “Sizing_Table.txt" file and to upload it into Option-2. Using Option-2, I've also been able to create the “Selected.txt" file, but when I open it and view the text, I only see the headlines (Sample File Name, Size, Height etc.). I don’t seem to get any error messages and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I will appreciate any help on this subject. Thanks,Meytal. Hi,
I am trialling MICROSATELIGHT to visualize microsatellites for my Master Thesis. IT department of the institution I study in installed successfully the program. R (R commander) and PeakScanner are installed on the computer as well.
When I get the program to run Step 2 (Peak Select), the program does not return any output. As the samples I got at the moment are singleplexes, I type "0" on the pop-up window that ask to specify the Multiplex group coding. When I click continue, nothing happens.
This is what the terminal line spits out:

It is worth to note that I cannot access or modify the C:// drive (where the application is installed) as this computer is University property. I have been storing the output of PeakScanner on a different drive.
Any ideas?

Hi, I came across this application while searching for microsatellite analysis tools. The help file states that the genotype table contains 2 columns for each marker. Could it be easily adapted towards 4 columns? In case of tetraploid species, more then 2 alleles are frequently observed per marker. Is anything foreseen in the development pipeline for polyploids? cheers, Bert _______________________________________________________ Maildisclaimer HTTP://www.flore.be/disclaimer.html |
