Background:
The idea to set up this community portal evolved during a series of workshops, meetings and personal discussions in 2013. At the same time software developers and modellers of the PMF community achieved a common understanding that a domain specific open information exchange standard is essential to support:
- the communication between different software solutions
- the reuse of software code (e.g. from open-source software projects)
- the borrowing and learning from other domains (e.g. systems biology (SBML), data mining (PMML) etc.)
- the creation of re-usable modular risk assessment models
- the establishment of Predictive Model Repositories including real reviewing opportunities

An illustrative example of a modular risk assessment model repository is the ICRA online tool.

This community portal is open, i.e. everyone can follow discussions without registration. Registered users can contribute actively to discussions and to the information exchange. Moreover they can become administrators of this community portal, if interested. Everyone is entitled (and encouraged) to invite others into this group.

The following portal functions will facilitate free information exchange and transparent documentation of community decisions:
- Home
- Discussion
- Wiki
- Files
