This thread is intended to collect links to Markup Languages that are successfully applied in domains related to PMF.
This might help the PMF community to decide at a given point in time whether to adopt one of these existing specifications for the domain of PMF or to create a new independent PMF-ML.

SDMX - Statistical Data and Metadata Exchange

The SDMX Global Conference 2013 hosted by the OECD took place on 11-13 September. Two major milestones in the evolution of SDMX were unveiled at the conference – the release of SdmxSource and the imminent release of the SDMX Global Registry.

SdmxSource is an open source project comprising of the SDMX common API and an implementation of this API in software components. Currently Java components are available and .Net components are under development. This release was heralded as a significant event in the history of SDMX.

These components have been used to build many SDMX tools, including the SDMX Global Registry and all the Fusion Products, and the tools in the Eurostat SDMX Reference Infrastructure (RI).

It is envisaged that the components will be used in many SDMX implementations in statistical agencies and to build many more useful software tools. Plans are already in place to release components to support SdmxJSON and RDF (Data Cube Vocabulary).

Visit the website at [http://www.sdmxsource.org] to access the java modules, user guide and sample projects that are aligned with the user guide. Presentations at the Global Conference that concern the SdmxSource can be found at:
