I found this great app after I got annoyed with how nircmd commands I was using to globally mute mic bring up the taskbar when I have them bound to hotkeys. This works so much better.
One little problem, maybe someone knows the solution.
When I set it to start with system, it works as expected, but I have no icon in the icon tray to interact with. I tried to run MicMute again, but it just exits, I was hoping it would have created an icon. Once set to auto-start, how do I bring up the GUI again to change settings? The workaround I'm using now is to kill the process with task manager, then run the app again.
Unrelated question I just noticed... how does MicMute know which sound device is a microphone? I have mine routed to a Virtual Cable, but MicMute only shows the microphone device itself. Not a particularly big deal, just a curiosity.
