#249 Support refile -preserve switch
Attempting to use the "-preserve" option to preserve
message ids when refiling appears to not work properly.
It appears to interact poorly with at least the sequence preservation functionality.
Preserving message ids across refiles may be useful for some users as it preserves sort order as well as allowing message ids to be globally unique such that they can be used for externally referencing messages across refiles.
Hi Erik, I'm assuming by "message id" you mean "message number" and not the "Message-ID" header field.
Because the -preserve switch would be added to your MH profile, rather than being made an MH-E option, I removed the work "option" from the Subject. Since MH-E should respect the -preserve switch, I reclassified this as a bug.
It would be very helpful if you could add a recipe that shows how MH-E does "not work properly." Thanks!
