I had a similar problem and I think it was because the
program sent files to xbmc that xbmc did not show.
I added file extension filter and I think that solved the
problem.
In the Tool menu you have a menu item named some thing like
'File extensions...' when you click on this you will get a
dialog to att file extension of files you want to send to xbmc.
The 'Default extension' button adds all the extensions that
is default in xbmc build 2004-06-06.
