I have successfully downloaded 66% of a file when it
stopped and gave me a red letter message
stating "Failed to write local file" after something
like 240,000 kb's were successfully written. I have
15 gigs of free space on an XP laptop available and
the file was 66% done. This has now happened twice
with the other file being close to the same prameters
however closer to being finished (per centage wise)
yet further (strangely) in hours left to download
despite the same approximate speed compared to the
first file.
At any rate, what do I do now? There seems to be no
guidance for this message.
I know sometimes the MFC Mute will pick up the trail
buy itself when it stops working, however I have never
seen it do that after getting THIS message.
What is wrong and what should I do about it?
Please forgive the fact that I sent an email on this
issue to the entire list. I am new and did not find
these directions until today.
The only thing in retrospect I have left out is that
the "route quality" went from 100% to 50%
coincidentally at the same moment this ocurred. The
one file left that is still downloading successfully
is still at 100% route quality as it has been all
along. SHould I do noting and expect that as soon as
the route quality picks up again, the download will
resume and for now, there is nothing at all I can do
about the situation? This entire occurance happened
overnight while I was sleeping and after checking my
logs I saw no untoward activity that may have caused
this.
Thanks
