Is there a way to increase the image quality on exported images? Images are at 96 dpi but I'll need 300 dpi for publications.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

Can you tell me which feature of MeV you are using to save the image? We may be able to figure something out if you are working with, say, heatmaps.

    Hi Eleanor,

Yes, increasing the image quality of heatmap images is my interest.
Though it would be nice to have every image increase in quality.

    Thanks

    Hi Seth,

I'm afraid I don't have any major improvements for you. We're waiting to hear about our grant application. If we manage to get some funding, we'll be able to do a lot more development. Your requests are on my list.

In the meantime, the best things I can recommend are increasing the display size of the heatmap units, in the Display -> Set Element Size menu. The font sizes of the accompanying gene and sample labels will scale with the heatmap elements. If you are looking to create an image from a hierarchical tree, like in the HCL module, you can right-click on that tree to find many graphics options that may work for you. Then use the File -> Save Image options as usual.
